concepts

It's been said "the great thing about standards is there are so many to choose from." In the case of TIBET we did our best to choose wisely, particularly for the Enterprise.

Obviously TIBET supports HTML5, CSS3, and related JavaScript APIs. These are core standards any modern web framework must support.

As you might expect, TIBET also supports JSON, but we go further than most frameworks and support the emerging JSON Path and JSON Schema standards as well.

Our expanded JSON support allows you to treat JSON as a core data format for MVC patterns in the UI and to perform validations on input via JSON Schema.

For Enterprise/Government customers TIBET has unparalleled support for XML.

TIBET is an XHTML5 framework, meaning TIBET applications are authored in XHTML. This design choice allows you to embed XML content directly in your UI. ATOM feeds, RosettaNet EDI documents, SOAP responses, XMPP conversations. Regardless of the XML you can transform it with TIBET's XSLT support, style it, or use it as a raw data source for bi-directional data binding without changing any back-end code.

As part of our commitment to XML as a core data format, TIBET includes implementations of XML Schema and XPath 1.0, allowing you to validate and format data based on XML Schema and to access and bind data via XPath.
